Music gives soul to the universe,

wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. - Plato

"Energy is the perfect word to describe what Miss DJ Lux creates when she is behind the turntables. She has the unique ability to span all genres of music and reach every person in the room. Whether she is playing your favorite EDM track, an old-school hip-hop jam you haven’t heard for years, or a rock classic you didn’t remember you loved so much, it is almost certain you will leave wanting to hear more." - Push Ultra Lounge

During my 20 years behind the decks, I have had many unique opportunities that are humbling to even think about. Due to a mentor teaching me to play hip-hop and EDM on vinyl, I had the opportunity to spin with many top-name DJs in both the dance music and hip-hop genres. The list of these top-tier national DJs and artists includes names such as Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, Lil Jon, Cee-Lo, Skylar Grey, Paul Oakenfold, Benji Madden, Tommy Lee, and many more.

Music has always been one of my first loves. It is that love that drove me to buy my first set of turntables and a mixer in 2002 because once I touched a friends, I knew I needed to learn more. My desire and curiosity led to a quick learning curve and in no time, I was playing as a resident for the number one nightclub in Park City, UT, Harry O’s.  At the time, Harry O’s was known as the hub for the Sundance Film Festival.

A few years later, I  relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida where I jumped right in playing at the hottest clubs. I asked them to "give me an audition" and after that, I was immediately booked.  It was at one of those clubs where a Tampa Bay Rays Executive noticed me. In 2007 I was asked to become the Rays official in-game DJ. The Rays were the first team in major league baseball to use a DJ during their home games to modernize the way baseball was viewed in Florida. During the 2007 season and then during the huge success the Rays had during their 2008 Championship season, I had the opportunity to throw down mixes next to the field for crowds of up to 35,000 in the stadium.

I moved back to Park City, Utah in 2008 to own and operate Downstairs Nightclub, where I helped build the success of the club as one of the main DJ residents. I DJed anywhere from 2-4 times a week, always switching up the tunes and keeping the guests dancing.  I parted ways with the business in 2016. At the time, I was represented by Sleeping Giant Music from 2016 to 2019 and had the opportunity to perform at some of the hottest nightclubs across the country. Due to my husband's cancer journey and then the following Covid shutdown, I decided in 2020 not to continue to travel to be at home with family.  In addition to nightclubs, I have had the opportunity to play for corporate sponsors such as National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, Turner, Red Bull, Pluralsight, Adobe, and More.

Music is my escape that allows me to feel free.

I have a passion for music that spans beyond the decks and led me to get my Sound Healing Level 1 certification. I believe in the healing power of sound. I love to create musical journeys from the large stage to more intimate meditative corporate settings. I can promise, my energy and passion are unmatched, no matter what setting I am creating the soundtrack for.
